Advice For Purchasing Chic Above Ground Pool Liners
On September 29, 2009 in Uncategorized
Thick vinyl is mostly used for above ground pool liners. They are constructed in such a way that they hold water in the above ground pool. Pressure is built up against the liner by water which is constantly roving in the pool. It also holds the walls up. When the water was drained from the pool liner, the metal wall supports would collapse.
Above ground pool liners can be attractive as well as practical. They are available in a variety of patterns and styles to help you create the perfect theme for your yard. There are a variety of different thicknesses, or grades, of replacement liners available.
Under normal use conditions, thicker pool liners tend to be more durable and are likely to last longer. The two terms that are most often used to refer to the thickness of the vinyl are mil and gauge. Above ground pools usually come with a pool liner that has a 20 guage thickness. Replacement liners up to 30 gauge can be purchased. Above ground swimming pools are designed to allow either an overlap style pool liner, or a beaded style pool liner.
These liners are held in place by different methods. The overlap style of pool liner needs to be folded over the top of the pool and held tightly in place under the top railing. The pool liner is right under the top rail. You will need to remove the top rail around your pool to install a replacement liner for an overlap style pool. You will use plastic clips to firmly hold the liner while you replace the top rail. A beaded pool liner means a small groove or bead along the top edge. Placing the bead along a track which runs along the top of the pool wall you install the pool liner. If you look underneath the top rail inside the pool you can find the beaded pool liner.
