Allergic and Asthma are Buddy

Allergies and asthma often goes hand in hand. In America alone the commonest type of asthma is in fact allergic asthma.
The most common type of allergy caused asthma is allergy to airborne particles like pollen, dust mites or pet dander. This kind of allergy results in inflammation and swelling in the lining of the airway or the nasal area, constricting the passage way leading to the shortness of breath, wheezing and chest tightness.
Allergic reaction results in our body to response by releasing an allergy causing antibodies called allergen. It is this antibodies that trigger allergy symptoms like scratchy eyes, nasal congestion and the inflammation of the airways is associated with asthma.
People who are prone to contracting allergic asthma are people who has a family history of allergies carries a higher possibility of getting allergic asthma. An additional risk factor is having hay fever or other allergies. More than one out of every four individuals who have hay fever also develops asthma.
