If you are an internet marketer there is no better way of driving traffic to your site than through search engines. The traffic is relevant and ready to buy but how are you going to get your site to rank high enough in order to pull in some decent traffic.
Search engine optimisation is a tactic used to rank sites highly on search engines such as Google but implementing is not always easy, especially when competition for a keyword is particularly heavy. Internet marketers use multiple techniques in order to rank highly on the major search engines.
The first thing you need to consider is you on page content, have you used your keywords in the title tag, headings and alt attributes? Is there enough content on your pages to use lot’s of relevant keyword variations? On top of this is your site accessable? Can Google enter your site at the home page and crawl through all your pages without any trouble?
Just when you have the on page factors sorted you then need to start considering how you are going to get links to your content. These links need to be from authoratitive sites and anchored with your target keyword, this isn’t easy and you may need to make use of multiple methods to get these links.
SEO is not easy and you need to be prepared to implement it from the outset, make sure your site is crawlable, use your keywords and get your links.
