Depending on the mixture each type will work in a unique way. When acid stains come in contact with the lime on the surface of the concrete, it produces a noticeable color. Acrylic stains seep into the concrete’s pores, literally bonding to the concrete. Different specimen of stains will offer you a distinct style. Your personal preference and the particulars of your application will determine which type is best for you.

Acid stains tend to cause variations in color which makes the overall appearance more natural. This gives it a charming look which is attractive. An acid stain is something you might not always want to use. Acid stains will make flaws in concrete more obvious. The appeal of the look will vary greatly with the desires of the individuals who are considering it. For a concrete which is more than 15 years old, Acrylic stains will always be the right selection.
