Purpose of swimming lessons for preschools children

Infant and preschool swimming programs are designed to assist infants, young children and parents in becoming familiar with the water and developing trus in the water through involvement in a range of secure and enjoyable aquatic activities.
Fun swimming lessons may lead to the development of basic swimming technique and water safety skills through play, exploration and encouragement. The expectations of the course and the teaching methods used are appropriate for the stages of development and are designed to reflect the physical, social emotional and intellectual capabilities of infants and preschool kids.
Teachers play an critical role in shaping the lifestyle of children and families under their care. Educators who work with infants and very young kids are in a privileged position, as they are often the first contact that young kid and their parents have with educational services. In swimming class this privileged position carries with it a high level of trust and responsibility, as parents are placing their infants and very young toddlesr under the guidance of a swimming teacher in circumstances usually associated with a high level of risk.
