Spa design is very important if you are thinking of opening up a facility. Often people think of the ambiance, which, of course, is a key factor. But you also have to keep in mind that you are providing services and the flow of traffic needs to make sense.
An important consideration is whether you are going to provide all your spa amenities separately for each gender or if some will be together. Some spas have all separated, while others have a Jacuzzi that can be used by both while steam and saunas are separated. While this is nice for couples, it will be a lot easier on your staff if you keep them separated.
